BRANDON HANDFIELD, Partner
Drawing from his time as both a private consultant in the civil engineering field and as Director of Public Works for a local municipality, Brandon founded Yantic River Consultants in 2015 to offer services that meet the expanding expectations of the engineering profession.
With over 17 years of experience, he is a licensed Professional Engineer in Connecticut with a diverse background in site engineering & land development, Town services & municipal infrastructure and water & environmental resources.
He is a graduate of the University of Hartford and has sat on the Public Works Building Committee, Plan of Conservation and Development Subcommittee and Water Pollution Control Authority in Lebanon, Connecticut.
In the summer you'll find him on a paddleboard, in the winter in his skis, and any time in between with a fishing pole in hand. He resides on the Yantic River in Lebanon with his wife and hound dogs.
MICHELLE HANDFIELD, Partner
Michelle joined YRC in Summer 2018 to help expand and diversify the company profile. She brings experience from her time as a private consultant and as the Assistant Town Engineer for a local municipality. She draws on her work in rural and urban communities for the knowledge and perspective necessary to approach challenges with insight and practicality.
As a licensed Professional Engineer in Connecticut, she has a diverse background including site development, hydrologic & hydraulic design, municipal infrastructure, project management, and regulatory permitting.
She is a graduate of Lehigh University, with both a B.S. (Civil Engineering) & B.A. (Architecture), and of Miss Porter's School.
Year round you'll find her creating in the kitchen, in warm months working in the garden, in cold months racing to Vermont, and always with the music on.
